La Avanzada, Here we come!!!!

It is already Friday morning, we just finished up a wonderful breakfast so that we can get to the clinic and provide some basic medical care and education. Ernie and Romiero returned from Guatemala City around 3:30pm yesterday with the meds that we had to leave at the airport, again, because we didn't have "the number" from the Ministry of Health. When Ernie returned and we found out what they really had to do, the only word that came to mind was "Seriously?". That is for you Patsy.

We had a very relaxing night of UNO and consuming a couple Dorado's and Gallo's. It was a great team building and bond forming exercise. Many laughs were had.

We will be heading out shortly for a 1 to 1.5 hour ride up the mountain to La Union/La Avanzada. Upon our return to the Miravalle Hotel after our busy day, we will be sure to update all of you on our expriences. Thank you again for all of you support and prayers, and hope that we can really reach out to the people of La Avanzada over the next two days.

  1. On behalf of the people of First Immanuel, thank you for your commitment to care for people. We are proud that you represent the 3,000 member family of First Immanuel. Our prayers pour out to the Lord who, Himself, cared for the sick, the lonely and the hurting. The Book of Acts explains that Jesus "went around doing good." Follow His example of giving comfort to the body and hope to the soul. May the Holy Spirit grant you compassion and patience to be about the work of the Kingdom.

    Peace!
